What are the reception’s operating hours?

From 8:00AM, 7 days.

Guest Services are available on site from 8am daily for all incoming enquiries, reservations and guest requests in house.

If you are arriving after hours please contact The Baxley Bondi direct to arrange after hours access details which will give you access to to your room and amenities.


What time is check-in?


Our friendly Guest Services team will be in contact 24 hours prior to re-confirm your arrival time. Please contact The Baxley Bondi direct to advise your ETA.
You are most welcome to arrive prior to 2pm and enjoy our communal lounge, as well store any luggage until your room is made ready.
We will always do our upmost to have your room prepared all be it you wish to check in before 2pm however early checkin is not always something we can guarantee.

What time is check-out?


Our Baxley Members whom book directly with us receive a complimentary late check-out until 12:00PM.

For all other guests who may like to take a slow morning to themselves, we do offer late checkout until 12pm for an additional fee of $25 payable direct on arrival.

We do ask those guests who would like to request a later checkout must visit reception at least 1 day prior to their departure date.

Can I store my luggage?

Yes, if you arrive prior to 2PM and your room is not ready, we are happy to store your luggage safely with our guest services team.

Whilst we will always do our best to ensure your room is freshly prepared for an earlier arrival than 2pm, we are also most happy to welcome you to our communal coffee lounge whilst you wait for our guaranteed check in time.

Is on-site parking available?

No, there is no on-site parking available at The Baxley Bondi.

However, we are fortunate in that our Guest House is located on Flood Street, Bondi which has plenty of un-restricted and un-ticketed free parking opportunities. Whilst we are unable to hold or reserve these public spaces there is often enough residential movement for our guests to find parking options for their time with us.

There too is parking in surrounding residential streets with a maximum time limit of 2 hours.

How do I get there?

We are in the incredibly fortunate position to not only have the shores of infamous Bondi Beach on our doorstep, but also just minutes walking distance from major transport hub, Bondi Junction.

Both Central, Sydney airport and all major bus routes through Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs pass through this area making it a very convenient location to access with multiple modes of transport.

Getting here from the airport, guests can arrange…

  • Taxi / Rideshare / Uber
    The Baxley Bondi, 44 Flood Street, Bondi.
    Approximately 25-40 minutes dependant on traffic, $40-$60AUD one way.
  • Train
    Catch T8 Train to Central Station, swap at Central, and catch T4 train to Bondi Junction. Once you reach Bondi Junction, it is a further 10 minute walk to The Baxley Bondi.
    For those guests with excess luggage, we would recommend a 5 minute bus from Bondi Junction at Stand A or Stand B to The Baxley Bondi. Alternatively, a taxi/ Uber would cost no more than $10 to our door step.
    Approximately 30-40 minutes, $24 one way per guest.

What forms of payment do you accept?

All payments made with card, debit or credit, will incur a 1.5% payment processing fee.

Unfortunately, payments for all non-refundable rate plans are taken at the time of booking and therefore are unable to be processed in cash unless guest is present at time of booking.

What is the cancellation policy?

Flexi/ Refundable and Membership Standard Room Rates

You will be charged the nightly rate for reservations which are cancelled inside 2pm on the day of arrival.
Cancellation is free of charge for guests until 2pm day of arrival.
Any booking modifications, including date changes and/or a full cancellation of your booking made after 2pm on the day of arrival will be charged the nightly rate.
Any booking modifications requested after check-in are subject to availability and may be applicable to rate variations.
Payment will be taken upon check-in or prior to your arrival if arriving outside of reception operating hours.

Non-Refundable Promotions and No Housekeeping Rate Types.

Cancellations on Non Refundable rate plans may be eligible for a guest house credit valid for 12 months with the property be it the cancellation is made outside of 2pm on the day of arrival.
Full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
Booking modifications, including date changes are subject to availability and may see applicable fare differences applied.
Non-Refundable bookings will be charged in full upon booking confirmation.

Non-Refundable Weekly + Monthly Saver Rate Types.

If you have booked an extended stay Rate Type, non-refundable terms apply, unless it is cancelled within 24 hours after the booking is made.
Cancellations on Non Refundable rate plans may be eligible for a guest house credit valid for 12 months with the property be it the cancellation is made outside of 2pm on the day of arrival.
Full payment will be taken at the time of booking.
Booking modifications, including date changes are subject to availability and may see applicable fare differences applied. Extended Rate Plan modifications may be reduced however where a reservation falls below 7 nights, the nightly price per night will apply.
Non-Refundable bookings will be charged in full upon booking confirmation.
Long term monthly stays will be required to pay a min of 2 weeks up front, with the weekly rate payable on the same day each week thereafter.
This is to ensure we are always working 1 week ahead of stay.
Weekly and Monthly Saver Stays are non-refundable and cannot be split; these long term price benefits are for consecutive nights only and cannot be used to allocate a nightly costing for extended bookings of lesser than 7 or 28 days.

Live Local 20 Promotion

Bookings are fully flexible outside 48 hours, with modifications and date changes allowed.
Rates are non-refundable however a credit valid for 6 months will be applied for use again in the future.
Where by changes and/or modifications may be required within 48 hours of arrival, the cost of the 1st night will be charged.
Promotion code is not valid with any other offer and discounts guest house rack rates. Promotion code may only be applied to each reservation once, valid once per reservation.

No Show Policy

Failure to arrive at the property on the booked check-in date will be treated as a no-show and the remainder of the booking will be cancelled. If you have booked a rate eligible for a refund, you will incur a charge for those nights which fall within 24 hours of cancellation.

If you have booked any of the Non-Refundable Rates you will be charged the full cost of the booking.

Booking Modifications

For bookings made on all rate plans, modifications are subject to availability and any applicable charges. If a date change is possible, the originally booked nightly rate may be subject to change and a higher rate may apply.
The difference between fares may be required in confirming such changes.

New Year’s Eve

If any night falls between 29 December and 2 January (inclusive) your booking is fully pre-paid and non-refundable. Payment will be taken at the time of booking and modifications or cancellation are not allowed.

Group Reservations of 3 rooms or more

We require a 25% deposit at the time of the booking to hold the rooms.
This will be taken at time of booking confirmation.
A further 50% is required 30 days prior to arrival.
The balance of 25% is payable 7 days prior to arrival. If the booking is cancelled after the first payment and before the 2nd payment a $200 cancellation fee applies. If the booking is cancelled after the 2nd payment the 25% initial deposit is non-refundable.
After the final payment is made there are to be no changes or refunds. We are happy to work with guests on minor booking modifications prior to 7 days before the arrival date, availability dependent and in line with cancellation terms.

Are the rooms serviced daily?

In light of the most recent COVID19 outbreak, The Baxley Bondi has reviewed our daily housekeeping schedule in reducing the frequency in which staff and additional parties may need to enter and exit guest rooms.

You can rest assured that our friendly Guest Services team are on site daily, and working hard to ensure all communal areas are sanitised daily. They too are on call to ensure the provision of fresh linen and additional amenities, regularly checking on all in house guests.

If your stay exceeds 4 nights a full linen change is provided during your time with us.

Weekly and Monthly stay long-term guests benefit from hugely reduced rates of stay and with this, are asked to ensure regular up keep of their room and facilities.

Guests whom have purchased a ‘Go Green’ promotional rate and opted for no housekeeping will only have a regular rubbish collection included in their housekeep. Additional housekeeping items are available for purchase.

The Baxley Bondi will continue to monitor and review the current circumstance in NSW and follow strict advice from Government Health regulations to ensure we continue to provide a seamless service with the safest of practices in mind.

Is internet access provided?

Yes, we offer complimentary fast wireless internet (NBN connected) for all guests in house.

Wifi connection details will be provided at check-in by our friendly guest services team, or are found clearly listed on your room key holder.

Do you have a restaurant/cafe?

No, whilst we do not have a restaurant at the property there are many famed eateries in Bondi that our Guest Services team will happily suggest.

We are lucky to have secured a team of exclusive food and beverage discounts for Baxley Guest Card holders for local restaurant and takeaway venues along Bondi Road. You can find these listed on your Room Key Holder as well featured in your ‘In Room’ locals guide with top recommendation from our team!

Unfortunately for the time being, our dining concierge will be unavailable during the prevalent COVID19 restrictions on trade.

Guests are most welcome to use our communal lounge facilities for arranging meals in house, which include a microwave, zip hot water tap, toaster and crockery/ cutlery supplies.

Do you have a lift / elevator?

No. Access to the two floors of the property is via our main lobby staircase only.

Access to our lower ground level does require a slight step up to our front porch which should be considered by guests with walking aides.

Our friendly (…and fit!) Guest Services team are on site daily 8am – 5pm to assist in the movement of luggage for all our guests, where physically possible.

Are baby cots and extra beds available?

Yes, there are baby cots available which our caring housekeeping team will arrange for you and your family.

Bookings are essential and do incur a $30 charge per stay, paid directly at checkin.

Please contact The Baxley Bondi to confirm your requirements before your arrival so we can have it prepared for a smooth and well organised arrival.

Unfortunately there are no extra beds available at The Baxley Bondi.

Single rooms are strictly can accommodate up to 1 guest only, with all other room variations able to host a maximum of 2 guests.

Are there cooking facilities?

At The Baxley Bondi we have a communal lounge open between 8am – 6pm.

This gives all guests access to various crockery, cutlery as well a microwave, toaster and zip tap offering instant boiling water.

We too offer complimentary Nespresso style coffee facilities for all guests.

We do not offer a cook top or freezer facilities.

Are there laundry facilities?

Yes, The Baxley Bondi has a functional and clean self-service washer and dryer on site.

Prices as follows:

  • $6 Wash
  • $3 Dry
  • $2 Powder

All operation is by token so guests are asked to visit Guest Services during opening hours if they wish to purchase tokens for use.



Do you have a gym?

No, there are no gym facilities at The Baxley Bondi.

Local gyms however are located throughout Bondi, and Guest Services will happily make suggestion for group class options available.

It should be noted that during COVID19 group and community training centres are currently closed.

Physical activity is encouraged however should be restricted to just 2 people and kept local. Bondi makes for a gorgeous neighbourhood to walk and run, with plenty of near by park space (Waverley Oval just 3 mins walk) suitable for workouts.

Are pets allowed?

No, we do not allow pets at The Baxley Bondi.

Are there smoking rooms available?

No, our property and rooms are all smoke-free in accordance with NSW Legislation.

We have a strict clean atmosphere policy and our property is under 24 hour surveillance.

Smoking/ vaping within our fence line will incur a fee of $250 charged to guest account.

How far is it to the train station?

Bondi Junction Train Station on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra line is a 10 minute walk to The Baxley Bondi.

This is a major transport hub and links Bondi to Central Station and Sydney’s central CBD.

Busses can be caught from Bondi Road just a 3 min walk from our front gate to Bondi Junction if walking is not a suitable option. Alternatively taxi/ uber can be arranged and take under 10 mins to reach the station.

What restaurants and bars are nearby?

There are many dining options nearby, including those located on Bondi Road and Bondi Beach.

Unfortunately however, due to the COVID19 outbreak many are temporarily closed to dining in.

There are plenty of local eateries doing extraordinary dishes for takeaway so we encourage you to also use local Uber Eats or Menu Log Apps for further browsing.

Is there a grocery store nearby?

Yes, our most local supermarket is a privately owned establishment on Bondi Road known as Kemeny’s.

This is a quick 8 min walk from The Baxley Bondi. Kemeny’s has a great selection of food, as well an a joined bottle shop for all your beverage needs.

For larger, mainstream Australian supermarket brands such as Coles and Woolworths you can find these within Westfield Bondi Junction,  a brisk 10 minute walk from The Baxley Bondi. Woolworths Metro can also be found on Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach. As well, an IGA fresh on the busy Hall St, Bondi.

Yes, there are many shopping locations nearby including:

  • Bondi Rd boasting brands such as Assembly Label and leather artisan Charlie Middleton alongside plenty of eclectic cafes and eateries, supermarkets and liquor stores
